A 1982 American comedy-drama film tells the story of a talented but volatile actor, Michael Dorsey, whose reputation for being difficult forces him to adopt a new identity. The unsuccessful actor disguises himself as a woman in order to get a role on a trashy hospital soap. The film is deemed “culturally significant” with Dustin Hoffman, Jessica Lange, Teri Garr starring.  Director: Sydney Pollack

A 1994 American epic romantic-comedy-drama film directed by Robert Zemeckis and starring Tom Hanks and Sally Field depicts several decades in the life of Forrest Gump, an unintelligent and naïve but good-hearted man who accidentally has been present at many historic moments of the latter half of the 20^th century in the US. The film is deemed culturally, historically and aesthetically significant.
